Paint Protection Film

Paint Protection Film (PPF), often called clear paint film, is a nearly invisible layer applied to key painted areas of a vehicle to help shield the surface from everyday damage. Once installed, it forms a durable barrier that protects against scratches, rock chips, minor impacts, and other common road hazards without altering the appearance of the paint.

Constructed from advanced polyurethane material, PPF is designed to withstand harsh conditions such as road debris, changing weather, and daily driving wear. This protective layer helps preserve your vehicle’s finish, keeping it looking newer for longer while maintaining its original gloss.

For drivers who care about maintaining their vehicle’s condition—especially those who face heavy traffic, rough roads, or extreme climates—PPF is a smart long-term investment. Combined with professional detailing services, it ensures your vehicle not only looks exceptional but stays protected from the elements and everyday use.

Can you Ceramic Coat PPF?

After having paint protection film installed on your vehicle, it’s natural to wonder if you’ve done everything possible to protect your exterior. While PPF provides excellent defense against physical damage, it doesn’t have to be the final step in your protection plan.

At our Naperville facility, many of our paint protection film packages can be enhanced with a ceramic coating applied directly over the film. Although both PPF and ceramic coatings offer benefits such as stain resistance, UV protection, and improved gloss, they serve different purposes. When combined, they create a more complete protection system—PPF guards against impact and abrasion, while ceramic coating helps shield the surface from environmental contaminants and makes maintenance easier.

Paint protection film already adds a smooth, refined finish, but treating it like painted surfaces by adding a high-quality ceramic coating takes that appearance even further. The result is increased depth, richer gloss, and longer-lasting protection. By layering these technologies, you’re not only protecting your investment—you’re elevating the overall look and durability of your vehicle.
