Transforming a Subaru BRZ with a Fresh Vinyl Wrap and a Stunning Widebody Kit

When a customer approached us with a clear vision for his car, we knew this project would be something special. He wanted a striking red vinyl wrap from Tinybot and a precise Pandem widebody install to make his vehicle stand out. On top of that, the car needed to be ready by a specific date for a car show in another state. This post shares the step-by-step process we followed to deliver a flawless finish, combining expert vinyl wrapping, careful widebody kit preparation, and timely execution.

Planning the Project and Setting Expectations

From the start, communication with the customer was key. He was very clear about the red vinyl wrap he wanted from Tinybot, known for its vibrant color and durability. He also needed the Pandem widebody install to be perfect, which meant not just fitting the kit but also sanding and painting certain areas to ensure a seamless look.

We discussed the timeline thoroughly since the car had to be ready for a show on a fixed date. This meant scheduling the work in stages and keeping the customer updated on progress. Transparency helped build trust and allowed us to manage expectations realistically.

Preparing the Widebody Kit for Installation

The Pandem widebody kit is a popular choice among car enthusiasts for its aggressive styling and fitment quality. However, every kit requires some preparation before installation. In this case, we had to sand down several parts of the kit to smooth out edges and ensure a perfect fit on the car’s body.

Some sections needed to be painted to match the final look and protect the material. Painting these areas was crucial because it prevented any visible imperfections after the vinyl wrap was applied. We used high-quality automotive paint and took care to blend the painted sections with the rest of the kit.

Installing New Hardware for a Secure Fit

One challenge with widebody kits is ensuring they stay firmly attached, especially when the car is driven aggressively or displayed at shows. The original hardware was replaced with new, stronger fasteners to improve durability and alignment.

This step required precision. Each bolt and screw was checked for tightness, and we made sure the kit aligned perfectly with the car’s body lines. The result was a widebody install that looked factory-finished and was built to last.

Applying the Vinyl Wrap with Care

After the widebody kit was installed and painted, it was time for the vinyl wrap. The red vinyl from Tinybot was chosen for its rich color and smooth finish. Applying vinyl wrap over a widebody kit can be tricky because of the curves and edges.

Our team worked carefully to avoid bubbles, wrinkles, or stretching. We used heat guns and specialized tools to mold the vinyl around the kit’s contours. The wrap came out flawless, enhancing the car’s aggressive stance and making the red color pop under any lighting.

Keeping the Customer Informed Throughout

We believe that a great customer experience is as important as the final product. Throughout the process, we kept the customer informed about each step: sanding, painting, hardware installation, and vinyl wrapping.

This communication helped the customer feel confident that his car was in good hands. It also allowed us to address any questions or concerns immediately, avoiding surprises at the end.

Meeting the Deadline and Showcasing the Car

Working on a schedule was critical since the car had to be ready for a show in a different state. We divided the project into clear phases and stuck to the timeline strictly. This approach ensured that every task was completed on time without rushing or compromising quality.

When the car was finally ready, it looked stunning. The red vinyl wrap gleamed, and the Pandem widebody install gave the car a bold, aggressive look. The customer was thrilled and able to showcase his vehicle proudly at the event.
